Meet a Doctor in Training

2022 Clinical Educator of the Year, Dr Niloofar Safaie Yazdi

I was born in Iran and from second year of medical school I developed an interest in research and education. Early on, I started teaching research methodology workshops and bedside tutorials to medical students. Since I always had a passion for radiology and medical education, I started my role as a medical education registrar in 2021, and started Radiology training in August 2022.

I chose medicine to be able to work on cancer and biotechnology research after graduation, but during medical school I found an interest in radiology, which shifted my career path. I am interested in minimally-invasive alternatives for procedures, and that is my passion for my future career.
